Isabelle Decitre

ID Capital

Founder

Isabelle is the Founder of ID Capital (idcapital.com.sg), a Singapore-based venture investment and advisory firm she launched in 2012. Recognizing food system transformation as essential to planetary and human health, she championed agrifoodtech—powered in part by synthetic biology—as a catalyst for impact across Asia-Pacific. ID Capital has since backed 15 startups. Her work spans the bioeconomy, circularity, and health and wellness, with agrifoodtech as a key anchor.

Determined to accelerate this emerging ecosystem, Isabelle created the Future Food Asia Award in 2016—the region’s first startup platform dedicated to agrifood innovation—leading to the annual Future Food Asia Conference (futurefoodasia.com), supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board in its inception years.

In 2019, ID Capital was appointed co-investment partner by SEEDS Capital, Singapore’s VC investment arm. It expanded to China in 2021 and began building a European footprint in 2022.

Isabelle believes Asia has a pivotal role to play in advancing the bio-revolution, with its unique convergence of biodiversity, talent, and food security needs. Prior to founding ID Capital, she spent 20 years in the luxury goods industries. She holds a Master of Engineering, Science and Technology from École Polytechnique (France) and a degree in Chinese Language & Civilization.

The New Main Course: Cultured Meat + Precision Fermentation

Plant-based food sales may be slowing, but that doesn’t mean innovation on the plate is stalling. Instead, momentum is shifting toward breakthrough technologies and smarter ingredient combinations. Cultured meat and precision fermentation are driving the next wave of sustainable ingredients, from proteins to cultured fats that bring authentic flavor and texture. This session highlights advances in cell culture, fermentation platforms, and scale-up strategies, along with the partnerships moving products from R&D to dining tables. Hear how food innovators are combining biology and culinary creativity to build a resilient, delicious, and sustainable future for global diets.

From Cells to Patients: Solving the Scale Mismatch in Virtual Biology

Drug discovery often measures biology at the cell level while interventions work at the tissue, organ, or whole-patient scale. This mismatch can make accurate cell-level predictions irrelevant in the clinic. This session dives into strategies to bridge that gap: multiscale modeling that nests single-cell dynamics within organ-level simulations, spatial transcriptomics that preserve context, and surrogate models that translate cell-level outputs into clinical biomarkers. Speakers will ask: how do we ensure virtual biology reflects not just what cells do in isolation, but how biology behaves in the real complexity of patients?
