I am a biomedical PhD researcher at Ulster University developing differentiation methods to convert stem cells into pancreatic beta cells for potential cell replacement therapies for diabetes. My research focuses on building practical, affordable, and reproducible differentiation systems that could help translate regenerative medicine into real clinical solutions. I am particularly interested in founding startups that turn breakthrough biology into scalable technologies. I previously participated in iGEM Startups and currently lead a biosecurity education initiative within the iGEM Community, promoting responsible innovation in emerging biotechnologies.
