Aaron Larsen

Aaron is the CSO of Terrain Biosciences, a startup producing the world’s highest-quality mRNA to power biotechnology innovation. After earning a PhD in Chemistry at McGill, Aaron studied RNA as a NASA and HHMI fellow at Harvard in Nobel laureate Jack Szostak’s lab. He then joined Moderna as an early employee, contributing to mRNA technologies now used in the COVID vaccine and personalized cancer vaccine in trials. Aaron later led RNA platforms at Beam Therapeutics, overseeing mRNA and guide RNA production, including the first GMP campaigns. At Resilience Therapeutics, he directed nucleic acid R&D and GMP manufacturing of plasmid DNA, oligos, mRNA and LNPs at pre-clinical and clinical scales. Aaron’s career reflects deep expertise in advancing RNA science and its applications.
