Joe is a mission-focused professional, with 15+ years of experience working at the intersection of biotech and national security. He leads the Policy and Research Team at the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology. His areas of expertise include biotechnology, biodefense, bioinformatics/computational biology, AIxBio, and national security. Joe has leadership experience in technology startups, venture capital, the federal government, and management consulting. He has an MS in Bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University and MS in International Relations / International Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
