I got pulled into synbio during an undergraduate research stint in the Bay, where I was exposed to a culture of constantly pushing research beyond the lab. That mindset stuck with me.

Since then, I’ve focused on building at that interface. I completed a Master’s in Chemical Engineering at the University of Toronto, helped build Nucleate Canada to support early-stage biotech founders, and now I’m launching a synbio division at ALT TEX, where I bring precision fermentation to a platform that turns food waste into textiles.

The science is here — now it’s our generation's turn to step up, work with experienced leaders, and develop the judgment to make these solutions real.
