I am the co-founder and CEO of Yeast Bay Bio, a biotech startup developing species-specific pest control using engineered yeast to deliver RNA interference (RNAi). I hold a PhD in Microbiology, Virology, and Parasitology from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Entomology from the UC Davis. I previously served as an Associate Professor at California State University, East Bay, where I taught microbiology and medical entomology and mentored undergraduate and graduate researchers. I also worked as a Senior Scientist at Novonesis, engineering microbial strains for industrial applications. Through Yeast Bay Bio, I am now translating insect biology and microbial engineering into safer alternatives to toxic chemicals.
