Simon Anguzu is an emerging Next-Gen Bioleader in Africa.

He is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in Molecular Biology at Makerere University.

He is one of the co-founding members of SynBio4ALL Africa, an initiative aiming at advancing SynBio education, capacity building, and biopolicy among African stakeholders.

Simon is particularly interested in the development of advanced diagnostics and biosensors using SynBio technologies to improve human health and environmental monitoring, showing his One Health approach.

He is passionate about bio-entrepreneurship and responsible innovation in life sciences research, aiming to contribute to the growth of Africa’s emerging bioeconomy.
