PhD student at the University of Edinburgh within the P3EB (Preventing Plastic Pollution with Engineering Biology) UKRI Hub, engineering novel biocatalytic routes to plastic monomers. Broadly interested in expanding the chemical space accessible to biology through non-canonical amino acid biocatalysis, directed evolution, biocompatible chemistry and de novo enzyme design. I hold degrees from Edinburgh and Imperial College London. Beyond the lab, I am exploring how these technologies can translate into ventures addressing waste feedstock valorisation and sustainable biomanufacturing at scale. I am a member of the SynBioUK steering committee and actively involved in researcher-to-founder community building through PRIMED.
