Bijan Harandi is the Founder of Grivpan Space, a bioindustrial space company developing microbial technologies for in-situ resource utilization and extraterrestrial materials processing. Grivpan is currently partnered with laboratories across the country to advance data generation and technology development in preparation for future space missions.
Bijan brings experience at the intersection of biology and space. He previously worked as a Research Associate at NASA Ames Research Center, contributing to the BioSentinel mission, and conducted Martian habitability research at Tufts University. His academic publications in space biology and astrobiology further highlight his focus on applying synthetic biology to questions of space exploration and long-term human presence beyond Earth. As a graduate researcher, he continues to integrate biotechnology with frontier applications in the emerging space economy.
