Anastasia received her PhD from Lomonosov Moscow State University, focusing on both molecular biology and bioinformatics. She later worked in Vadim Gladyshev’s group at Harvard Medical School, where she studied the mechanisms of immune system aging and identified interventions extending lifespan in mice. She joined Retro Biosciences with the goal of translating longevity therapies from preclinical models to patients.At Retro, her and her team develops stem cell therapies aimed at improving immune function in elderly patients with chronic and acute hematological conditions. Their approach produces young-like hematopoietic stem cells that have potential to reconstruct the entire human immune system and can be generated from patient’s own cells.
