Dr. Ravit Netzer is the co-founder and CEO of Scala Biodesign, a computational protein design start-up that develops ScalaOS, a no-code SaaS platform enabling R&D teams to independently design enzymes, antibodies, vaccines and other complex proteins that often limit or slow development programs. Its technology allows researchers to engineer proteins to peak performance with minimal experimental effort and with no need for prior data.Scala’s proprietary approach, integrating atomistic protein design calculations, AI and evolutionary data, has been validated across diverse protein classes and applications, including enzymes for biocatalysis and DNA processing, biotherapeutics and vaccines, as evidenced by 150 + scientific publications.Under Ravit’s leadership, Scala has gained the trust of nine of the world’s top-20 pharmaceutical companies, as well as leading chemical and energy enterprises. She holds a Ph.D. in computational protein design from the Weizmann Institute of Science, where her research focused on developing novel methodologies for designing high-specificity and high-activity proteins.
